  • What are the minimum system requirements?

  • From an open Microsoft Internet Explorer window, follow these steps:
  •      
  • Choose "Tools" from the menu, select "Internet Options," click the "Security" tab, click the "Custom Level..." button
  • In the "Cookies" section, Enable the following:

  • Allow cookies that are stored on your computer
  • Allow per-session cookies (not stored)

  • In the "Scripting" section, Enable the following:

  • How do I adjust my screen resolution?

  • Click the "Start" button on the taskbar, select "Settings," select "Control Panel," select the "Settings" tab, look in the "Desktop Area" for the resolution.
  • If necessary, move the slider to increase the resolution to 800 X 600. A resolution higher than 800 X 600 is acceptable.

       Registering to Use the Application
     
  • How do I register to use the On-Line Customer Service Application? You are required to register only once.
        (You must be registered prior to using the Application)
  •    
    • Review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy
    • Complete the Registration form.
    • Immediately after successfully completing the Registration form, the information you entered will be e-mailed back to you. Please verify this information. If incorrect, contact your Customer Service Representative.
    • Within 24 hours (Monday - Friday) of successfully completing the Registration form, you will receive a second e-mail. This e-mail confirms your registration and contains your Password.
    • You can use the Application at any time after receiving your e-mail confirmation and Password.
    • You will be asked to change your Password when logging on for the first time.

       Changing Password and Registration (Personal) Information
     
  • How do I change my Password? There are two ways to change your Password, EITHER can be used.
         (Note: Passwords must be 5 - 8 characters in length, are not case sensitive, and cannot be reused.)
  •    
  • Changing your Password during the log-on process (from the "Logon" page):
  •      
  • In the "Logon" section:
  •        
  • Enter your User Name
  • Enter your existing Password
  •  
  • In the "Optional Change Password" section:
  •  
  • Enter your new Password
  • Enter your new Password again
  • Click the "Log-on" button
  •  
  • Click here to go directly to "Logon" and change your Password
  •  
  • Changing your Password while logged on:

  • From the "User Profile" page, click on the "Change Password" link
  • Enter your new Password
  • Enter your new Password again
  • Click the "Change Password" button
  • Click here to change your Password. (If you are not already logged on, you will be required to do so.)

  • How do I change my registration information after registering? You must be logged on to do this.
  •  
  • To change your registration information—first name, last name, phone number, or e-mail address:

  • From the "User Profile" page, click on the "Change Personal Information" link
  • Type-over any information you want to change, then press the "Change" button. Your changes will take effect immediately.

       Log-on Procedure
     
  • How do I log-on to the Application for the first time? I've already received my Registration confirmation and Password.
  •   You are required to change the Password (assigned and e-mailed to you by UPI in the Registration confirmation), to one you have selected, when logging on for the first time. Passwords must be 5 - 8 characters in length, are not case sensitive, and cannot be reused.
       
  • In the "Logon" section of the Logon page:
  •      
  • Enter your User Name (chosen by you when you completed the Registration form)
  • Enter the assigned Password (assigned by UPI)
  •  
  • In the "Optional Change Password" section of the Logon page:
  •  
  • Enter the new Password you have chosen
  • Enter the new Password again
  • Click here to log-on, or, click the "Logon" button at the top of this page.

       Viewing and Printing Load Tally, Test Report, and Bill of Lading
     
  • How do I view and print a Load Tally, Test Report and Bill of Lading?
  •    
  • To print these documents, you must have Adobe® Acrobat® Reader installed on your PC.
         Click here for instructions on downloading Adobe® Acrobat® Reader.
  • The documents can be viewed and printed from the Order Status page—by clicking the "View Documents" button
         or clicking a link while viewing the coil detail or order detail—and from the My UPI page.
  •  
  • Load Tally - is available for items having an "On Lineup," "Scheduled to Ship," or "Shipped" quantity.
  •  
  • To view using link: click the tally link when viewing coil detail.
  • To print using link: click the tally link when viewing coil detail, then click the "PDF Tally" button.
  • To view and print using "View Documents" button: follow instructions at the bottom of the view documents page.
  •  
  • Test Report - if requested previously, is available when there is a shipment against an order.
  •  
  • To view using link: click the "HTML" button when viewing order detail.
  • To print using link: click the "PDF" button when viewing order detail.
  • To view and print using "View Documents" button: follow instructions at the bottom of the view documents page.
  •  
  • Bill of Lading - is available for items having either a "Scheduled to Ship" or "Shipped" quantity.
  •  
  • To view using link: click the Bill of Lading l ink when viewing coil detail.
  • To print using link: click the Bill of Lading link when viewing coil detail, then click the "PDF BOL" button.

       Timing-out Due to Inactivity
     
  • Is it possible to time-out of the Application due to inactivity?
  •    
  • If you remain inactive for 60 minutes after logging on to the Application, you will be "timed-out" and logged off.
        To access the Application after timing-out, simply log-on again.
